This is a clinically-orientated meeting of interest to dermatologists, clinical geneticists and paediatricians of all grades. It will provide practical advice and tips for dealing with the diagnosis and management of a range of genetic diseases that affect the skin. Highlighting specific problems or complications that need to be considered and potential therapeutic pitfalls.

key speakers:
Professor John McGrath, Professor of Molecular Dermatology and head of the Genetic Skin Disease Group. I am also an honorary Consultant Dermatologist for the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
Professor Jemima Mellerio, Consultant in the Dermatology department of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Her specialisms include; epidermolysis bullosa, other genetic skin diseases, general paediatric dermatology.
Dr Anna Martinez, Consultant in Paediatric Dermatology, trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and completed her training in paediatrics in the North Thames Region. She trained in paediatric dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Dr Nigel Burrows, Consultant Dermatologist specialising in General and Paediatric Dermatology, assessment of pigmented lesions, computer imaging (SIAscopy) of moles, treatment (cryotherapy or surgery) for benign and malignant skin lesions and laser treatment for facial thread veins (telangiectasia).
Professor Julian Sampson, Director, Division of Cancer and Genetics at Cardiff University, has developed research infrastructure for genetic research in Wales, and has led several successful international research consortia in the field of medical genetics.
