Description

There is a widely held belief that the health and social care system struggles to manage change involving digital technology.

However, numerous trusts and care providers around the country are already making progress towards more digitised care and record-keeping. These include technically advanced organisations that form part of the Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) programme and organisations that are not designated as GDEs.

This conference aims to support health and social care organisations that are looking to undertake large-scale digital change, no matter what their current level of technological advancement.

It will offer a practical understanding of the factors that contribute to successful change by showcasing the experiences of different case study sites that have already made significant progress.

By attending this conference, you will gain:

practical learning from a series of case studies where significant large-scale digital change is happening

understanding of how to overcome barriers to successful digital change, including constraints around workforce, budgets, organisations’ attitudes towards risk and the relationships that exist between care providers and key stakeholders

insight in to the complexities of some aspects of large-scale digital change such as adopting electronic patient records (EPRs) and shared care records

practical tips for spread and adoption within a locality.
