Description
Patients who have had successful therapy for cancer can encounter side effects of the treatment towards different systems. We would like to provide an overview of the most common consequences of cancer treatment towards the gastrointestinal system (including immunotherapy related consequences, rectal bleeding, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome, bile acid malabsorption, pancreatic insufficiency and graft versus host disease) and towards the urology system.
The speakers will focus on theoretical background as well as practical management of the diseases – clinical scenarios will follow after the theoretical introduction. The importance of multidisciplinary approach (gastroenterologist, dietitian, haematologist, urologist, physiotherapist) will be shown.
The content for this day will be available online after the event.
The sponsors of this event provided funding for the study day, but they have had no input into the programme, selection of speakers or topics.
