This one-day event will explore the concept of big data by explaining the five “V”s – volume, value, veracity, variety and velocity and their features.It will define how big data is generated from each imaging modality and nonradiological images, e.g. endoscopy, ophthalmology and how such data contributes to enterprise imaging. The event will also clarify the ethics of big data in the era of artificial intelligence and machine learning, whilst explaining the benefits of big data to consumers, particularly in the context of improving patient care and training of future healthcare professionals. This event is suitable for radiologist (consultants and trainees), radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiographers, public health doctors, epidemiologists, researchers, academics, healthcare managers, policy makers, healthcare IT professionals and industry representatives.
