Description
Beyond Aortic Stenosis, organised by Millbrook Medical Conferences, will take place on 6 October at the Royal College of Physicians, London.
- 08:30-16:30
- Hosted by the Barts Valve Research Group
The face-to-face event will focus on novel therapies and devices, and importantly patient access to new treatments in this country.
There will be an emphasis on the multidisciplinary team and as such the symposium is aimed at cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, allied health professionals, as well as industry partners and patients with an interest in valvular heart disease.
The faculty will discuss how new devices and therapies are commissioned in a special lunchtime session, as well as the patient initiatives that are working towards improved access to new therapies in the UK.
The three sessions on aortic, mitral and tricuspid regurgitation will cover an emerging field with exciting novel approaches in surgery and intervention, which currently are tested in a few centres, but hopefully will soon be rolled out across the country.
Session titles include:
- Aortic Regurgitation
- Mitral Regurgitation
- Tricuspid Regurgitation
- Commissioning in England
- Valve MDT Conundrums
The core team for Beyond Aortic Stenosis includes:
- Prof. Andreas Baumbach
- Prof. Anthony Mathur
