Professor Marcus Drake will chair the 25th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Bristol Urological Institute and will introduce this year’s visiting Professor, Christopher Chapple.

Visiting Professor Profile
Professor Christopher Chapple (pictured right) is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and visiting Professor at Sheffield Hallam University. He has a particular interest in functional reconstruction of the lower urinary tract and the underlying pharmacological control mechanisms. He is editor of the journal “Neurourology and Urodynamics” and is on the editorial board of several journals. He is a member of a number of urology societies including the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons. He has co-authored over 300 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has written several books and a number of book chapters.
Professor Chapple has chaired a number of guideline initiatives including the recent UK Male LUTS guidelines report for NICE. He was awarded the St Peter’s medal by BAUS in 2011 and is an honorary member of several national urological associations.
