Celebrating RCP500 – and the RCP in the North.
On Thursday 22 November we invite you to step into the magnificent setting of St George’s Hall in Liverpool for a special evening celebrating the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) 500th anniversary and our exciting new development, RCP North.
This event will be held in one of the finest examples of the neo-classical style in the world, a fitting venue for the last major event of our 500th anniversary celebrations.
RCP president Dr Andrew Goddard will be joined as host by Mr Joe Anderson, the Mayor of Liverpool, and Professor Dame Janet Beer, Chair of the Liverpool Knowledge Quarter, to mark the development of RCP North. Fellows, members, and guests from the wider community are welcome to attend this unique double celebration in this remarkable building.
Following a reception on arrival, you will sit down to a sumptuous dinner accompanied with appropriate wines for each course.
During the evening we will present and celebrate the work of the RCP: we are a charity and everything that we do aims to improve patient care and reduce illness. We are patient centred and clinically led, and drive improvement in the diagnosis of disease, the care of individual patients and the health of the whole population, both in the UK and across the globe.
During the evening there will be an opportunity to donate to Giving Health, the RCP’s fundraising appeal to raise philanthropic donations to fund key areas of our charitable work, and to The Mayor’s Hope Fund, set up by Mayor Anderson to help those suffering in poverty in Liverpool.
Dress code is black tie and for women the equivalent.
