Keele University
This development course aims to prepare and encourage new consultants and senior trainees in O&G to be effective leaders in their specialty and in their wider organisations. It will focus on leading a safe team, with a variety of topics ranging from negotiation, resilience and conflict resolution to review of the relevance of personality on leadership style (facilitated by completion of a pre-course Myers-Briggs indicator). This leadership course is designed to provide a solid foundation and inspire attendees to continue their learning with the confidence to apply these newly acquired skills to their practice. Lectures will be minimal and focussed, with your contribution and interaction being encouraged.
This programme has been developed collaboratively between the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Keele Clinical Leadership Academy, located in Postgraduate Medicine at Keele University.
Please note places on this course are limited to 36.
The RCOG are in partnership with Keele University for the Developing Leadership Skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology on 08 – 09 November.
As you are probably aware, there are new EU data rules that came into effect on 25 May, known as GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation.
For this particular course, there is pre-course work which involves completion of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. This will be discussed in small groups during the course.
In order to send the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to delegates, the RCOG will send your name and email address only to Keele University.
